Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has deployed a high-level security team to Funtua to review security operations in five local government areas.
The delegation comprises the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Commissioner of Police, Brigade Commander, Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), and State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The team will meet security stakeholders in Funtua, Faskari, Sabuwa, Dandume, and Bakori to assess security challenges and develop a coordinated response to insecurity in the areas.
The five LGAs have previously been identified among areas affected by banditry and other security challenges in Katsina State.
