The Kano State House of Assembly has suspended the chairmen of Bebeji, Rogo, and Bagwai Local Government Areas for three months.
The development was disclosed on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on New Media, Ibrahim Adam, in a post on Facebook.
According to him, the lawmakers approved the suspension during plenary, although no official reasons have been provided for the decision.
The Assembly has yet to release further details on the circumstances surrounding the action.
Similar suspensions in the state have previously been linked to allegations of misconduct and administrative irregularities, pending investigation.
