Nigerian singer Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has said his stance against bad governance has cost him business opportunities but insists he has never targeted any individual politician or political party.
Speaking during an interview on Arise 360, the artist revealed that a potential partner once raised concerns about his outspoken views on Nigeria’s political situation before pulling back from a collaboration.
Falz maintained that his advocacy is focused on systemic issues rather than individuals. According to him, anyone who feels personally attacked by his comments may be contributing to the problems he speaks about.
“I’ve never mentioned any names or political parties. I’m addressing the practices, not specific people,” he said. “If you have a problem with that, then you might be part of the problem.”
The rapper has been a consistent voice on social and political issues in Nigeria, using his platform to call for accountability and reform.
