Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Tuesday attended the funeral prayer of Hajiya Rukayya (Tsohuwa), stepmother of his Principal Private Secretary, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji.
The deceased died on Monday night after the Isha prayer at her residence in Sabon Layi, Katsina.
The Janazah prayer was held in the Shaiskawa area of the state capital, after which she was buried at Danmarna Cemetery in accordance with Islamic rites.
She is survived by six children, including her eldest son, Alhaji Babangida Aliyu.
Governor Radda joined family members, government officials, and other mourners to offer prayers for the deceased, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
The governor also prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved family.
