Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury plans to invite US President Donald Trump to accompany him during his ring walk for his December 11 showdown with Anthony Joshua in Cardiff.

Fury said he would make the offer to Trump but acknowledged that the president’s schedule could make his attendance unlikely.
“I’ll definitely make that offer to my old buddy, old pal, and we’ll see if he’s available,” Fury said. “Probably unlikely because of the situation he’s in at the moment, being the President of the United States.”
Fury met Trump at the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House earlier this year and has publicly expressed his support for the US president.
The long-awaited all-British heavyweight clash will take place at Cardiff’s 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium. The fight was officially confirmed last month after years of failed negotiations.
Fury, 38, also revealed that he sees Joshua as a stepping stone towards a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk, who defeated him twice in 2024.
“I’m using this bum as a warm-up for Usyk,” Fury said, insisting he has no plans to retire after the Joshua fight.
Fury returned to action in April with a win over Arslanbek Makhmudov, while Joshua recently stopped Kristian Prenga in the second round of their July bout.
The December clash will be the first professional meeting between Fury and Joshua, two of Britain’s biggest heavyweight stars.
