Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, has arrived in Lomé, Togo, for the decisive second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Benin Republic.
The team touched down safely on Friday and are camped at Hôtel Le Pélican as preparations intensify for the crucial encounter.
Head coach Akeem Busari’s side will hold their first training session later on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s match at the Stade de Kégué.
The Flamingos go into the fixture with a slim 3-2 advantage from the first leg, where they edged Benin in a five-goal thriller in Ikenne.
The winner on aggregate will secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Morocco later this year.
