At least five people were reportedly killed in a series of attacks across Plateau State, including a pastor who was found dead after being abducted along the Barkin Ladi-Bokkos Road.
Pastor Hills Emmanuel, a Ghanaian-Nigerian cleric and founder of The Wonderful Grace of God Evangelical Ministry in Bokkos, was reportedly abducted on Friday alongside Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak while travelling from Jos to Bokkos.
Emmanuel’s body was found near the scene of the abduction on Saturday morning, while Dipak was reportedly still in captivity.
Separate attacks were also reported in Fang village in Riyom Local Government Area, Radura village in Barkin Ladi, and Chakfem village in Mangu. A woman was reportedly killed in Fang, while two people were killed in Radura. Another person was injured in Chakfem.
The incidents brought the reported death toll to five.
However, the circumstances surrounding the attacks and the identities of the perpetrators had not been independently confirmed by the Plateau State Police Command at the time of filing.
