Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has vowed to defeat Speed Darlington when they meet in the ring on October 1.
Efe made the threat during a heated face-off with the entertainer ahead of their celebrity boxing bout in Lagos.
He challenged Speed Darlington to confront him without the protection of a bouncer and said he was ready to prove himself in the ring.
Efe also cited Speed Darlington’s comments about singer Burna Boy as one of his motivations for the fight.
“The major reason I want to beat Speed Darlington is because he called Burna Boy gay,” Efe said, adding that he wanted to “beat Speed to embarrassment.”
The bout, tagged “Chaos in the Ring,” will take place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, on Nigeria’s Independence Day and will be streamed live on DAZN.
Efe enters the contest after defeating singer Portable by unanimous decision in May, while Speed Darlington previously lost to Portable by technical knockout in 2025.
