ADC Denies Candidate Upload, Warns of Fake INEC Documents

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed claims that a faction led by Nafiu Bala Gombe uploaded a presidential candidate and other nominees to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal, describing the report as false.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said INEC only grants access to recognized party leadership and cannot issue multiple nomination codes to different factions.

He challenged the Bala faction to provide evidence of the alleged submission, insisting the claim contradicts established electoral procedures.

The ADC also called on INEC to investigate what it described as the possible forgery or unauthorized use of documents linked to the commission.

The development comes amid an ongoing leadership crisis within the party, with multiple factions laying claim to control. INEC had earlier suspended dealings with rival ADC groups pending the resolution of court cases over the dispute.
