At least 11 players are expected to miss Saturday’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be without goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who underwent surgery for a fractured jaw sustained during last weekend’s 2-0 win over Everton.
Captain Reece James, who recently had knee surgery, winger Jamie Gittens, Pep Chavarria and Emmanuel Emegha are also set to miss the encounter.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that Chavarria and Emegha would not be available for the London derby.
Tottenham will also be without several key players, including Mykhailo Mudryk, Lucas Bergvall, Savio, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, who are sidelined with injuries.
Midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended following his red card against Manchester United, while defender Destiny Udogie is a doubt due to a knee problem.
The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Nigerian time, with both sides looking to build on their recent Premier League results.
