Barau FC have received an injury boost with midfielder Hilary Ekawu returning to action ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash against Rivers United.
Ekawu had been sidelined for two months with an undisclosed injury but is now back in contention as Barau FC seek to improve their form after drawing their last two league matches against Rangers and Bendel Insurance.
Speaking to Mochado TV, the midfielder expressed delight at his return and promised to contribute more goals and assists.
“I feel very happy to be back with the team after two months’ absence due to injury,” he said.
He added that he was encouraged by the team’s performances during his absence and was eager to contribute to their campaign.
Barau FC are scheduled to face Rivers United in a Matchday Nine fixture on Sunday, October 18, at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.
