The White House has launched a 24/7 streaming channel called “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station,” offering viewers videos, major remarks, and highlights from President Donald Trump’s administration.

The White House announced the channel on Monday, saying it would stream content around the clock and be updated in real time. It is available through the White House website and YouTube channel.

The launch came as a dispute between the Trump administration and several major US news organizations intensified.

Trump recently barred CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House, accusing them of publishing what he described as “fake news.” The three organizations filed a federal lawsuit on Monday seeking to restore their access, arguing that the ban violated their First Amendment rights.

Following the ban, the five networks that make up the White House television pool, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC, suspended pooled coverage of Trump’s events. The networks said the public has an interest in receiving independent information about the government.

Trump TV’s first broadcast featured previously recorded material, including Trump’s address at Mount Rushmore and footage from his presidency, rather than a live presidential event.

The new channel gives the White House a direct way to distribute footage of Trump and his administration as the dispute over media access continues.
