The Premier League is set for its first 16-day international break this season after FIFA merged the traditional September and October international windows.
The new window will run from September 21 to October 6, with national teams allowed to play up to four matches instead of the usual two.
The Premier League will complete Matchweek 5 on September 20 before pausing, with Matchweek 6 resuming on October 10.
During the extended window, European nations will play UEFA Nations League fixtures, while African countries will compete in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
CONCACAF teams will play Nations League matches and friendlies, while Asian and South American nations will largely feature in friendly matches.
The Premier League said the change is designed to reduce the number of separate periods when players travel internationally and limit disruption to the domestic season. The FIFA Council approved the revised calendar in 2023, with player welfare also considered.
The November international break will run from November 9 to 17, while the final break of the season is scheduled for March 22 to 30.
