Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has credited singer Ayra Starr with having a significant impact on his life and career.
The music executive made the remark while responding to an X user who praised him for discovering and supporting the singer’s rise in the Nigerian music industry.
Reacting to the post, Don Jazzy said meeting Ayra Starr was a life-changing moment for him as well.
“I bless the day I was shown her Instagram freestyle. She has most definitely changed my own life too. And she has been nothing but a dream, Starrgirl,” he wrote.
Ayra Starr joined Mavin Records in 2020 after gaining attention with freestyle videos and song covers shared on Instagram. Since signing with the label, she has become one of Africa’s biggest music stars, earning international recognition with several hit songs and award nominations.
