The All Progressives Congress has dismissed demands to reassess the outcome of its 2027 primary elections, affirming that the process has been concluded despite widespread petitions from dissatisfied aspirants.

Sources within the party indicated that the list of successful candidates has been finalised and is being prepared for submission to the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the official deadline.
Party officials maintained that the window for appeals has closed and that no further alterations will be made to the results already ratified by the leadership.
Several aspirants across multiple states had challenged the conduct of the primaries, alleging irregularities and imposition of candidates. However, insiders disclosed that most of the petitions were deemed lacking in merit and did not warrant any revision of outcomes.
Electoral guidelines released by INEC set timelines for political parties to upload candidate details, with access expected to be granted later in June and submissions due in July.
Meanwhile, some aggrieved party members have threatened legal action, while others expressed concern that unresolved disputes could affect party cohesion ahead of the general elections.
Despite the discontent, party leadership insists that the nomination process has been completed in line with its internal procedures and will proceed without further review.
