The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has temporarily halted the collation of results from its nationwide presidential primary election conducted on Monday.

Chairman of the Presidential Primary Election Committee, Ikechi Emenike, announced the decision late Tuesday, citing the need to allow Muslim party members observe the Eid al-Adha celebrations.
He stated that the collation process for the remaining states would resume on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Emenike also noted that logistical issues, particularly travel delays affecting some returning officers, contributed to the postponement.
According to him, results from 24 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, had already been received, while outcomes from 12 states were still pending before the suspension.
He said that the states are Borno, Kebbi, Anambra, Abia, Ekiti, Ondo, Gombe, Oyo, Imo, Yobe, Nasarawa, Enugu, Benue, Osun, Adamawa and Kogi states.
Others are Kano, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi , Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba, Zamfara and the FCT.
