2027: AA Candidate Promises Jobs, Poverty Reduction

The presidential candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, has pledged to revive Nigeria’s economy, reduce poverty and create jobs if elected in 2027.

He made the promises on Saturday during the flag-off of his presidential campaign at Babanla Agate Ward in Ede, Osun State, his home ward.

According to a statement issued in Kaduna, the event was attended by politicians, business leaders, traders, artisans and unionists. The ceremony began with prayers led by Islamic scholars, Christian clerics and traditionalists.

Omoaje said his proposed administration would prioritise economic recovery, employment, poverty reduction and the fight against corruption.

He also promised to tackle insecurity, saying Nigerians should be able to live and travel without fear.

On governance, the AA candidate proposed reducing the number of ministers and political appointees while appointing presidential liaison officers across the country’s 774 local government areas to strengthen the Federal Government’s presence at the grassroots.

He further proposed classifying all roads in Nigeria as federal roads to address disparities in infrastructure development.

Omoaje said the party would organise larger rallies across the six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory to mobilise support for the 2027 election.
